23 September in a university administration conference hall of A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, a regular meeting of All-Russian public organization «Society of Doctors of Russia» is held. The moderator and one of the speakers of the meeting is the President of the All-Russian public organization «Society of Doctors of Russia», rector of the A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, Oleg Olegovich Yanushevich.
В своем выступлении О.О. Янушевич выделил, что представители Общества врачей России все чаще привлекаются для работы в различных экспертных группах, а несколько человек, входящих в ОВР, являются учредителями Общероссийского Народного Фронта. Кроме того, члены ОВР ведут активную работу в Государственной Думе, Правительстве.
In his speech O. O. Yanushevich emphasizes that representatives of the «Society of Doctors of Russia» are more involved in various expert groups, and several people belonging to the SDR are the founders of the All-Russia People’s Front. In addition, members of the SDR lead active work at the State Duma and the Government.
The next speaker is Vice-President of the SDR, member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, professor, M.D., Eric Narimanovich Prazdnikov, as a part of the presentation of a calendar schedule, tells his colleagues about the preparation process of the upcoming III Congress of the Society of Doctors of Russia, which will be held in may 2020. According to preliminary calculations, 154 delegates from different regions of Russia will participate in the event.
Further, at the meeting of the Presidium of the SDR, the associate member of the World Medical Association, Stepan Vladimirovich Firstov, presents the report about his visit to Bulgaria. Recently, a delegation representing the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Society of Doctors of Russia takes part in the Tenth Anniversary International Medical Forum Congress of physicians from South-Eastern Europe (Southeast European Medical Forum, SEEMF). This high-status international event is honored by the visit of the President of the World Medical Association, professor, Leonid Eidelman. S. V. Firstov presents his report. The report is made at the Southeast European Medical Forum and devotes to the activity analysis of national medical associations from different countries of the world. Stepan Firstov notes, «It is obvious, that there is no a perfect medical association that meets the requirements of medical community, the government as well as patients. But, it is also true, that issue to create national medical association in Russia, that would correspond to global standards and demands of professional community, is still current.»
The meeting ends with a speech of Presidium member of the SDR, General Secretary of the Russian Society of Surgeons, chief researcher of the Institute of Surgery named after the outstanding Russian surgeon A. V. Vishnevsky, professor, Andrey Vladimirovich Fyodorov. The report is devoted to the participation of SDR members in the Round Table organized by the State Duma of the Russian Federation. 20 September at the Health Protection Committee, Round Table on «Surgery is a zone of professional and legal risk» is held. The discussion touches topics of doctors' professional responsibility and increasing importance of the role of professional medical associations. Following the discussions, as it is promised by the chairman of the Health Committee of the State Duma, Dmitry Morozov, a working group on the legal protection of health workers will be created.
In general, meeting of the Presidium of the All-Russian public organization «Society of doctors of Russia» is held in a business atmosphere. Several vectors of activity are identified.
