15 April 2022 a Presidium Member of the Society of doctors of Russia and an Associate Member of the World Medical Association Stepan Firstov received an invitation to the WMA`s regional meeting in Asia on the International Code of Medical Ethics (ICoME), adopted in 1949. In 2018 the WMA organized a working group on revision of this fundamental document, which defines guidelines and norms of medical profession. Actively cooperating with the Thailand Medical Association the event is scheduled on 7-8 June 2022, Bangkok. Medical assocaitions of the Asian region will be given an opportunity to make their own input and feedback during the revision process. The regional meeting will be in English.
