Stepan Firstov will take part in Conference on euthanasia issues in Vatican.

At the event there will be discussed relevant questions relating to euthanasia problems. Dr. Stepan Firstov takes part in the event as an WMA (World Medical Association) Associate Member from Russia. Let us remind you, that the events held under the organization of WMA can be visited only by the participant-countries of the World Medical Parliament as well as independent associate members of the international public organization uniting physicians.

Recent meetings of the World Medical Association demonstrated the relevance of issues related to the end of life and euthanasia. Many discussions were evidence to that. To understand current ethical dilemmas in a large scale, the WMA Governance declared about a big project launch which means regional seminars and conferences. One of these events will be held in Vatican in November. Organizers of the event are the World Medical Association, German Chamber of Medicine and Pontifical Academy for Life.

Two days event will unite the leading medical professionals form Europe, lawyers, palliative care and medical ethics experts, theology specialists and philosophers from all about the Europe to discuss various areas related to issues of patient rights to complete treatment as well as studing different points of view on this topic in society.

Euthanasia issues Conference is an open event. Not only WMA members were invited but observers and all of the interested experts.
