7 June 2018 the fifth interregional Forum named Health is for everyone was held in Chelyabinsk, that combined the medical associations, patients and representatives of mass media.
It was a real eye-catcher to see participation of Jeff Monson, a mixed martial arts fighter. Sixth moths after the joint replacement surgery at the FMC clinic in Chelyabinsk sportsman flew back to the South Ural for a scheduled examination, but could not miss the Forum on innovations in Health. In his welcome speech, he warmly thanked the doctors, especially, those who worked to make healthcare services accessible for everyone.
«When I came here half and a year ago, I could not even make a movement without feeling any pain. Today nothing hurts me. Moreover, my doctor Andrey Filippov and I became real friends. Surely, we discussed my rehabilitation program, but also were talking about our families and daily routine activities», said Jeff Monson.
Traditionally, the key topic of the Forum «Health is for everyone» was professional self-regulation of docotrs. According to opinion of the organizers, that only medical associations that created on the basis of self-regulation are truly viable in modern conditions.
«The first russian self-regulated associations of doctors appeared in Chelyabinsk. These are the association of Traumatologists and orthopedists of Chelyabinsk region and National collegium of phlebologists. Self-regulated associations have its own characteristics. The associations are widespread in many countries. Professional SROs serve as reliable support for the doctors and can provide certain guarantees to patients,» explained Stepan Vladimirovich Firstov, a member of presidium of All-Russian public organization «Russian Society of Doctors», associate member of the World Medical Association (WMA).
Topic of role of doctors' association in Health system was deeply discussed at the Forum by invited expert, a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, a member of an expert council of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation on issue of competition in Health, Ph.D., Sergey Vladimirovich Lazarev Particularly, he noted: «Despite a constant myth, money does not solve problems of Health. You can buy equipment, but it will benefit only in hands of professional. Men often say, that Health can not work in market environment, but it works in these very conditions all about the world, and by the way, quite effectively. The russian Health system is still under socialist law of capitalism! The vicious circle can be broken, but we need to change people's mind, who have taken the responsibility for Health development.»
The heads of the top medical associations of Chelyabinsk region, including federal centres, presented their reports at the Forum.
«Event conception impresses me as well as its main task which is to make our Health better. Unfortunately, none of us has a magic wand, that can easily solve all the problems of Health once and for all. Many conferences have a narrow focus, but at the Forum «Health is for everyone» strategic issues were discussed. National projects and tasks, set by the President, make us find new ways for further development. There is a wish, that Health system works as a one mechanism», commented the chief physician of FSBI «Federal Centre of cardiovascular surgery» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Chelyabinsk), chief freelance specialist, cardiovascular surgeon of the Ural Federal district, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, Ph.D., Oleg Pavlovich Lukin.
Yuri Alekseevich Semenov, the chief doctor of the State Budgetary Health Institution «Regional perinatal center», the chief freelance specialist in obstetrics and gynecology of the Ministry of health of the Chelyabinsk region, Ph. D., was in solidarity with his colleague: 1 «It is not the first time for us to take part in the Forum. Attention to health problems is useful, especially, if it accompanies with lively discussion.»
The event in Chelyabinsk attracted attention of mass media. The round table on «How to improve the coverage of medical issues in mass media» was held during the coffee break, but an interesting discussion with journalists and doctors, forced most of delegates to return to the hall of the Forum.
The general partner of the Forum «Health is for everyone» was the Party of pensioners for social justice, which has a pronounced social orientation. «Questions of organization in medicine is the only beginning. And today they have special meaning. There is a term «survival age», and I do not like it at all. We are for the age of healthy and interesting life, which lasts as long as possible,» – said the deputy chairman of the central council of the political party «Russian party of pensioners for social justice», doctor of law, Andrey Vyacheslavovich Shirokov.
Larisa Zemlyanskaya, the head of the federal service for serveillance in Healthcare in Chelyabinsk region, who worked at the Forum, expressed the General opinion, noting: «Any platform of public organization helps to solve problems, that are equally important for doctors, patients and executive authorities. All of us want to make medicine of high quality for everyone.»
