Policy Brief: COVID-19 and Universal Health Coverage

Considering active international activity of Stepan Firstov, in particular, his membership at the World Medical Association, the document COVID-19 and Universal Health Coverage developed by a working group of the United Nations was recently received.

The World Medical Association cooperates with a number of another medical organizations/associations including the World Health Organization and the United Nations.

The UN working group is established to support control efforts of further COVID-19 spread, to implement measures of future preparedness for the next pandemic outbreak, to improve quality and provide universal health coverage.

Experts evaluated the impact of pandemic on the socio-economic consequences and made data on financing the health system during the epidemic. The main determinants of health as well as coronavirus influence on access to medical treatment are carefully studied and presented. At the end of the document, you can find recommended actions in the event of emergencies that affect people's health.
