At the end of September in Moscow the third congress of the All-Russian public organization Society of doctors of Russia was held. Stepan Firstov participated at its work.

23 September in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow the third congress of the All-Russian public organization Society of doctors of Russia was held. Stepan Firstov attended it under invitation received from the Presidium Members.

Agenda included issues on activity of the All-Russian public organization Society of doctors of Russia for 2015-2020 and objectives till 2020; report of the auditing commission; President, Vice-President, Executive Vice-President and Secretary General election processes.

Also at the congress council, presidium and auditing commission members of the All-Russian public organization Society of doctors of Russia were chosen. Renewed council structure of the governing body entered Stepan Firstov.
The Society of doctors of Russia represents interests of more than 126 thousand russian doctors. It consists of 14 All-Russian public professional organizations of the main medical areas, representatives of the medical and academic associations from the russian medical association, university, scientific and pedagogical community, doctors of different specializations form 49 territories of the Russian Federation. Key goal for the Society is consolidation of interests within medical professional panel in Russia and its interests’ representation on the highest expert level.

The importance of consolidation for the professional association during the period when health system survives the hardest pandemic disruption highlighted by the Vice-President, Andrey Kaprin. In his speech at the congress, he said: «I am convinced, that for the health sustainable development and effective assistance, medical community must solve current issues in coordination with others, but also set the main directions and trends in the development of our medicine, taking into account needs of the industry and standing for the interests of our patients.»
