Berlin welcomes its guests in the frames of an annual World Medical Association General Assembly 2022

The German Medical Association is pleased to invite to Berlin for the World Medical Association General Assembly, which is planned for 5-8 October 2022 at the congress hall «The Ritz-Carton». Represantatives of the medical assocaitions as well as physicians from all about the world are invited to take part. Associate member of the World Medical Association, Presidium member of the Society of doctors of Russia, dr. Stepan Firstov will be pleased to join the event. Traditionally, during four-days of the General Assembly, round tables of the medical ethics committee, socio-medical affairs committee and finance and planning committee are planned. Associate membership takes an active role at the working groups on the Association's documents revisions process, thus, 6 October will hold associate membership meeting to discuss issues of the current importance of agenda and just to communicate.

In addition to the committees meetings and the Council members` meetings, the scientific session on the medical ethics in a globalized world is included in schedule. Over the past few year, it has become obvious, how interconnected the medical profession is in the world. However, the ethical standards, which are normal for some countries, may not be normal for citizens from the rest, because of many reasons, for example, religion, cultural values and peculiarities. It requires the development of an appropriate principles of the global medical ethics, fair and just allocation of health resources, recognized universal moral duties of the global ethical system, a combination of the ethics and professionalism. These are the issues that will be in minds of many scientists, UNESCO represantatives, researchers, professors from the USA, Germany, London and Nigeria at the upcoming scientific session in Berlin.

Berlin is not only the multinational cultural capital of Germany, but also the home for the German Medical Association. This year marks the 75th anniversary since its foundation. The president of the German Medical Association, dr. Klaus Reinhardt will be happy to meet the participants in-person and celebrate such an important event for them.
